GENERAL TERMS OF SALES

Introduction

These general sales terms apply to and are enforceable for every sale contract of goods by PAL, whether entered into in Greece or abroad, through the company's website, www.pal.gr. Submitting an order to PAL constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these general terms by the "User." The product price list is subject to unilateral changes by PAL without any obligation for prior notice. However, the price of a product remains the same from the moment it is selected and added to the shopping cart until the order is completed. If the order is canceled, the price may have been modified.

Product Order

The product order is placed either after the User registers on PAL's website and obtains a "username" and "password," or by using a guest account, where the User-Buyer’s full details for communication with PAL and the shipment of PAL's products are recorded. The User is obliged to keep their credentials confidential and not share them with third parties. The User adds the products they wish to purchase to the shopping cart and then selects to complete the order, after which the User must accept the website’s terms of use, which they are required to read before finalizing their order.
The User will then choose to receive a Receipt or Invoice by entering their full tax details in the provided electronic form and also selecting the method of product delivery, either by shipping to the billing or other address, or by picking up the product at PAL’s store.

Payment Method

The User-Buyer selects one of the following payment methods:
(a) By Card, debit or credit, and prepaid
(b) Paypal
In case of an order on behalf of a company, the card must be a company card, and the name of the recipient must appear on the card. Upon receiving the product, the recipient must show the company card and their ID. Similarly, if paying by credit card, the Buyer must be present when receiving the order with the card and their ID.

Customer & Transaction Security

PAL ensures the confidentiality of User data transfer by using the SSL 256-bit encryption protocol, under which all information and personal data of the User-Buyer are encrypted. Encryption is essentially a method of encoding the information until it reaches the designated recipient, who can decrypt it using the appropriate key. Throughout the entire ordering process on PAL’s online store, all communication between the User’s computer and the website is encrypted using a key. PAL’s system first decrypts the received information using the same key (predefined at the start of the connection) and then processes it. PAL’s systems send information to the User following the same encryption procedure.
With this technology, every detail entered on the website is encoded, and the authenticity of the message and the server it came from is verified.
PAL does not store or request details of credit, debit, or prepaid cards for User orders. Depending on the chosen payment method, the website redirects the User to the corresponding bank’s electronic system to complete the payment. If PayPal is selected as the payment method, delivery address details are transferred to PayPal to confirm and validate the correctness of the delivery address. Transactions made via PayPal exclusively relate to delivery at the customer's location and are not combined with other payment methods.

Order Completion

Upon order completion, the User-Buyer’s electronic order number is displayed and a written confirmation of the transaction, including all order details and the delivery method, is sent to the email provided by the User during registration.
If the User-Buyer wishes to modify or cancel their order, they must immediately contact PAL by email at [email protected] or by phone at +30 210 8000112 so that the order is not sent for delivery by PAL.

Product Delivery

The delivery cost and estimated delivery time of the products are effective from the next day after the order completion and are calculated approximately as follows:

  • Cost of 1st item: €3.90; Cost for each additional item: €1.50/item (Urban areas)
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 3-4 working days (Urban areas)
  • Cost of 1st item: €5.00; Cost for each additional item: €1.50/item (Difficult-to-reach areas, e.g. islands, remote villages, etc.)
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 4-5 working days (Difficult-to-reach areas, e.g. islands, remote villages, etc.)

These delivery costs, as indicated above, may be modified by the courier company.
PAL does not cover orders for delivery outside Greece.
The above delivery timelines do not apply during extreme weather conditions or strikes and in cases of force majeure, which may affect delivery times, and PAL is not responsible for non-compliance unless it is proven to be its exclusive fault.
If the User-Buyer wishes to receive the products through another carrier other than PAL’s cooperating courier company, they will bear the cost of that shipment.

Product Returns

In case of an incorrect order, an order that does not meet the Buyer’s requirements, or a defective product, the Buyer has the option to either reject the product upon delivery or, after receiving the product, return it within fourteen (14) calendar days from the delivery date at PAL's expense. For product returns due to Buyer withdrawal, the Buyer must fill out the special form available here.
If the product is defective and returned within the warranty period, it will be replaced by PAL and returned to the Buyer at no additional charge. In any other case of product return, PAL will refund the Buyer the amount that the Buyer has demonstrably paid for the product.
The returned product must be in the same condition as when it was received, complete and undamaged, including the packaging in excellent condition, and must be accompanied by all documents that were included with the product at delivery (Receipt, Invoice, and Delivery Note). Return shipping costs are borne by the Buyer. If the above conditions are not met, PAL reserves the right to refuse the return and replacement of the product.
For any questions regarding the above matters, the User-Buyer can contact PAL by phone at +30 2108000112 or via email at [email protected].
Additionally, the User-Buyer, as part of direct communication with PAL, can use the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform available at https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/odr in all European Union languages. In Greece, the point of contact for ODR is the European Consumer Centre Greece (ECC Greece) located at 144 Alexandras Avenue, 11471 Athens, phone +30 2106460284, fax +30 2106460784, website www.eccgreece.gr, email [email protected].
